Budgeting Software & Teachers Pay Award

Financial Services confirm that the HCSS Budgeting software for maintained schools currently includes a 1% inflationary increase on all salary scales. A software update to reflect the 2% inflationary increase on the teachers main scales is planned in the mid-autumn term. Schools can calculate the effect of the extra 1% for forecasting purposes by totalling the September budgeted pay for main pay scale teachers and calculating the additional 1%. The calculated figure can be multiplied by 7 for the cost to year end, 31st March 2017. New staff members should be entered into the budget software and the additional 1% calculated subsequently. Remember that the Apprentice levy will also increase by .5% on the additional amount. Financial Services will update schools once the software has been amended.
