HCC – County Exclusion Letters and Form X1 for Permanent Exclusions

Since 1st September 2009 all schools, including those who have become Academies have been required to return all Fixed Period and Lunchtime exclusions electronically.

Since the exclusion reports were first published in 2009, there have been various modifications to the HCC model letters. ICT Services have recently updated reports to ensure letters produced from SIMS are worded identical to model letters provided in HCC guidelines on exclusions. ICT Services strongly recommend that the text of all customised letters already downloaded are checked against the model letters in the HCC exclusion guidance and amended accordingly. For instructions on how to download and import the letters or to further customise letters already imported and customised in SIMS, please refer to document S1293.

Document S1293 Completion and Submission of Electronic Exclusions below contains instructions split into two sections. Section 1 is for schools who have never imported exclusion reports into SIMS. Section 2 is for schools who have previously imported and customised exclusion reports.
