National Professional Qualifications

 

National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH)

From 2012 first-time headteachers no longer have to hold NPQH in order to take up a headship post. The government does however recognise the value and importance of NPQH, and endorses it as the qualification of choice for anyone aspiring to headship.

National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership (NPQSL)
National Professional Qualification in Middle Leadership (NPQML)

Leadership East holds licences from the National College (in School Leadership) for the delivery of both the National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership (NPQSL) and the National Professional Qualification in Middle Leadership (NPQML).  These qualifications are part of the National College’s modular curriculum, which is designed to offer more flexible development opportunities to support leaders at every stage of their career.
