Hertfordshire headteacher or deputy vacancy notification to the Local Authority

Schools must follow the school staffing regulations, which require maintained schools to notify the local authority of any Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher vacancies.

The regulations state that:

15.—(1) The governing body must notify the authority in writing of—

(a) any vacancy for the head teacher; and

(b) any post for a deputy head teacher which it has identified as one to be filled.

We have set up a new notification mechanism using MS Forms and anything entered here will automatically update HCC as well as HFL:
