The 2025 HFL SEND Conference: Sense and Sensibility

Last updated on 26 July 2024

09:00 - 15:30
The Fielder Centre, Hatfield

The desire to support and nurture children with special educational needs is a powerful motivator for becoming a SENCO. It's a chance to make a real difference, helping them flourish and achieve their full potential. However, the challenges are undeniable. The number of children requiring SEND support has risen steadily, placing immense strain on already limited resources. As a SENCO, you'll often find yourself in a tug-of-war, balancing your passion for their success with the hard reality of budgetary constraints.

Our SEND conference provides an opportunity for you to explore how combining a practical approach with an underlying passion, are necessary pre-requisites for unlocking excellence in Special Educational Needs and/or Disability (SEND) provision. You will also hear from a range of high-quality speakers and have time to network with your peers.

In response to your feedback from previous years, we're pleased to announce a return to the face-to-face format we know you really value for this year's event.

We will have a series of inspiring keynote speakers and practical spotlight sessions which will enable you to explore ways to deliver timely, high-quality support for learners with SEND and to respond to the challenges outlined in the DfE’s SEND and AP Improvement Plan - Right Support, Right Place, Right Time.

We will be announcing our speakers and sharing the agenda for the event in due course.
