Could your school host a Supported Intern?
Supported Internships are a great opportunity to improve the life chances of a young person with SEND by supporting them into sustained, paid, employment. They are a structured, work-based, study programme for 16-25 year olds with SEND, who have an EHC plan. The core aim of a supported internship study programme is a substantial work placement, facilitated by the support of an expert job coach.
The Hertfordshire SEND partnerships are looking to host 25 supported interns this year. Could your school or team host an intern? We will help you through the process and guide you all the way.
You can hear more about the Supported Internship study programme on this YouTube video.
If you think you may be able to host an intern, complete an Expression of Interest Form by 16 May 2025.
