Cycle to work scheme

Our new provider Black Hawk Network Cycle Scheme gives you access to a choice of bikes from several independent bike retailers. With over 2,600 Cyclescheme Partner stores nationwide; instore and online. The scheme will be open from 2nd September 2024 and will be open all year.

The scheme is open to all HCC employees. However, there are a number of conditions to be aware of:
- Only Community and Voluntary Schools are eligible for this scheme.
- Salary reductions made through the salary sacrifice must not take your earnings below national minimum wage.
- Employees must use the cycle or equipment mainly for qualifying journeys. ‘Qualifying journeys’ means between home and a workplace or between workplaces. This can include journeys that are completed only partly on a cycle. Other use of the cycle, for instance pleasure use or use by members of the employee’s family will not disqualify the exemption provided that the other use is not the main use of the bicycle.
- Employees aged under 18 will need guardian consent to participate.
