Free activity sessions for young people with SEND at Hudnall Park this summer

Last updated on 23 July 2025

This summer Hudnall Park is offering free adventurous outdoor activities to young people aged 13-19 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including those with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The activities are funded by Hertfordshire County Council Short Breaks and young people are eligible up to the year they turn 19 if they are in full time education.

Hudnall Park is an outdoor education centre set in 85 acres of beautiful parkland, private woodland and meadows, five miles from Hemel Hempstead in the west of Hertfordshire. HCC Services for Young People is offering a second series of free outdoor activities for young people aged 13-19 with SEND at Hudnall Park this summer. All activities develop social, emotional and physical skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Young people can:

  • Learn archery techniques and compete in fun games (21 and 28August)
  • Have fun improving their teamwork skills and coordination on the low ropes (20 August)
  • Zip across the valley on the zip line (21 and 28 August)
  • Explore nature in the beautiful woodlands (27 August)
