HAPpy winter camps 2025

Hertfordshire County Council is once again funding HAPpy activity camps for children and young people who attend a Hertfordshire school and are in receipt of benefits-related free school meals.

We would appreciate your help in promoting the HAPpy (Holiday Activity Programme) offering free activities and a nutritious meal to eligible children during the winter holidays. Could we please ask if you could promote the following in your newsletters, website and any social media channels.

Bookings for winter HAPpy Camps are now open!

HAPpy camps are running across Hertfordshire this festive period, available from 22 - 31 December (selected dates).

Camps are for children and young people (Reception to Year 11) who attend a Hertfordshire school and are in receipt of benefits-related free school meals.

The programme, funded by Hertfordshire County Council and the Department of Education (DfE) via the government’s Holiday Activity and Food programme, is co-ordinated by Herts Sport and Activity Partnership and the Hertfordshire Community Foundation

Get your child’s booking code from their school office and book your free place.

Places can be booked from 10am on Thursday 27 November via the Herts Sport and Activity Partnership’s website: https://bit.ly/BookHAPpyWSN

HAPpy camps are back this winter!

Hertfordshire County Council is once again launching its free winter activity camps for children and young people in Hertfordshire.

Fully funded holiday activity camps return for the festive break, providing eligible children and young people with the chance to meet friends, learn new skills and enjoy nutritious food.

HAPpy camps are for children and young people (Reception to Year 11) who attend a Hertfordshire school and are in receipt of benefits-related free school meals.

The HAPpy programme is funded by Hertfordshire County Council and the Department of Education (DfE) via the government’s Holiday Activity and Food programme and coordinated by Herts Sport and Activity Partnership and the Hertfordshire Community Foundation.

Every camp is inclusive and able to meet the needs of most children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), provided the right information is supplied with their booking.

At the sessions, which vary in duration from four to seven hours long, eligible children and young people can enjoy free food, free physical activity and free craft activities.

Ask your school office if you haven’t already received your code and your child is eligible. Camps are running from 22 – 31 December (selected dates)
