HCC funded sessions to support schools to quality assure the EYFSP assessments
The HFL Early years team are delighted to inform you that HCC will be funding sessions to support schools to quality assure (QA) the Early years foundation stage profile (EYFSP)assessments. These supportive QA sessions will be carried out by HFL Education Early years advisers.
We know that many schools across Herts complete the GLD predictor (funded by HCC);which will support discussions during the QA session. The latest version can be accessed via the PA Plus subscription:
HFL Education Shop/resources/materials-support-prediction-good-level-development
or if you require this to be sent to you, please email earlyyearsteam@hfleducation.org should you wish to use this tool.
See also the Early years foundation stage profile handbook - GOV.UK that includes guidance on completing the EYFSP.
The sessions will be offered between the 12th May 2025 – 20th June 2025. We appreciate the short timeframe so have aimed to offer as much flexibility as possible by providing the option of face-to-face/online, morning/afternoon or after school and are happy to work with you to find a time that is most suitable for you.
The sessions can be up to 2 hours long, however, please plan for between 30-45 minutes per Reception class, for example 2 Reception classes would be approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
By booking this EYFSP Supportive QA visit, EY leaders/teachers will have the opportunity to:
- Review / quality assure their EYFS Profile data for 2025, prior to submission
- Gain confidence to ensure as many children as possible achieve the expected level of attainment at the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Receive bespoke guidance from an EY Adviser that supports improved outcomes for their EYFS
- Reflect on progress towards ‘closing gaps’ in attainment between different groups of children, particularly for children from Disadvantaged and Vulnerable groups
