Keeping children safe in education update - September 2023

An updated version of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) comes into force on 1 September 2023.

There aren't any big changes this year, but the updates include a new emphasis on IT filtering and monitoring systems with a role for boards in making sure standards are met in this area.

Other changes include clarification of the term 'children missing education' and how it's different to 'children absent from education'.
