New campaign calls for help in recruiting more foster carers
Hertfordshire County Council has launched a new campaign to recruit foster carers. The campaign, HELP, is encouraging schools, businesses and community groups to share information across their networks about the benefits and impact of fostering.
There are around 1,000 children in the council's care, many of whom would benefit from a stable, loving foster home - but there aren't enough foster carers in Hertfordshire and the number is declining.
You can help in a number of ways:
- Share a message on your social media accounts
- Display a poster in your school
- Include an article in your school newsletter
- Display a banner outside your school
You can find and download content for social media and newsletters from the campaign's communications toolkit.
If you have other ideas about how you can get involved, or require printed material to be sent to you, please contact: fostering.recruitment@hertfordshire.gov.uk
