Teaching Remembrance in 2024

Remembrance Live Assembly Monday 11 November 2024

Teachers of pupils from Upper Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 can sign up to the Royal British Legion’s free, live-streamed Remembrance Assembly, bringing students together with others from across the UK on 11 November. This live interactive assembly from the Royal British Legion and the National Literacy Trust will inspire children to take part in Remembrance with music, poetry, film, photography and more. Learning Resources

The Royal British Legion support the teaching of Remembrance across the UK and have designed a range of free teaching resources for use by schools and families. All of the resources are:

  • Made up of lesson plans, bitesized activities and assemblies to support teachers and parents
  • Free and linked to the National Curriculum
  • Differentiated to provide support and challenge
