The new and improved Teach in Herts website launched

Last updated on 10 January 2024

We are thrilled to announce that the brand-new and improved Teach in Herts website is now live at www.teachinherts.com

Taking into account your valued feedback, we are pleased to present some important updates to enable Teach in Herts to continue to meet the evolving needs of local schools, trusts and settings:

Improved layout and site navigation

The new site has been built to highlight our 4 key job types (teaching, support, leadership & early years) to improve user experience for both candidates and employers, and better suit today’s job market, where over half your vacancies are non-teaching roles.

New resources area

We have expanded our library of online information for employers in the new resources area, to provide guidance and support on key topics including additional advertising options, selection and retention to name a few. As time goes on, we will continue to add further guidance here, as well as handy links to topical webinars and events.

Updates to online application process

The Teach in Herts application form has been updated to enable schools and settings to manage applications more easily:

  • automatically check for gaps in employment history, saving time on safer recruitment checks.
  • access key data on school dashboard to assess the success of your recruitment campaigns.
  • manage all applications in one place, sending confirmations, rejections, invitations to interview and reference requests from your dashboard.
  • download automatically redacted applications for anonymised shortlisting at the touch of a button (optional).

Updates for MAT customers

In response to feedback from MAT users, federations and multiple PVI Early Years providers, we have sought to improve customer experience by:

  • Providing a single log-in and new dashboard for trust level users to track and display jobs and applicants across all schools within the group.
  • Allowing customers to assign trust-wide or school-specific access for staff.
  • From a candidate’s perspective, the site will now directly link individual schools to others in the same trust, improving visibility across all trust roles.

Updates for candidates

The new site also has much to offer candidates including enhanced search capabilities, responsive easy to follow design, adapted to suit all platforms, rich careers guidance resources, success stories and secure, user-friendly accounts.

We owe this exciting transformation to your continued support and feedback. As we embrace this new chapter, we remain dedicated to delivering high-quality service and content that inspires, informs, and supports you.

Thank you for being a part of Teach in Herts. We can't wait to see what you think!
