The Plan for Children & Young People 2026-31

Thank you to all those who have contributed to the development of the Plan over the last few months. Your feedback has helped us to understand what services are most needed, and has shaped our Annual Priorities. It has been an absolute pleasure to meet so many people and hear your views.

The Plan for Children & Young People 2026-31 was launched on 19 November. The Plan sets out Hertfordshire County Council's Ambitions for improving outcomes for children and young people, along with the Vision which is to support you to feel you belong and are happy, healthy, and safe so you can thrive with their families and community.

The Ambitions outline what services will do to support children and young people:

• Ambition 1: Provide the education you need to succeed.
• Ambition 2: Help to keep you safe at home, in your community and online, especially when life is difficult.
• Ambition 3: Make sure you get the help you need from the people who know and love you best, your family network.
• Ambition 4: Help you to live in a loving, safe, and steady home; and help you prepare for the future.
