Year 6 Sustainability Competition - Up for the challenge?
We would like to invite your Year 6 students to take part in our Hertfordshire Eco Warriors Competition 2026. This is the fourth year the competition has run, with the winning school receiving £2,000 to put towards sustainability initiatives. Two runner-up schools will each receive £1,000 each. The competition is supported by Artelia UK, TClarke, Oakray and PSB Engineering in partnership with Hertfordshire County Council.
As Project Managers, Artelia UK has been involved in renovating schools across Hertfordshire, from upgrading roofing and windows to improving heating systems and more. As part of our community engagement, we have created the Eco Warriors Competition to encourage students to put their sustainability ideas into practice and create an eco-school for the future.
We would welcome your participation in this exciting initiative.
Last year’s winners were Meryfield Primary School, Bushey Primary School, and Woolenwick Junior School.

Step 1:Submit Your Project Plan
Deadline date: Friday 23rd October 2026
- Open the document titled "Eco Warriors Project Plan 2026" from the download pack.
- Complete the form as a class.
- Email the completed document to ecowarriorsuk@arteliagroup.com by Friday 23rd October 2026.
Submitting your Project Plan will confirm your school's expression of interest and give you the opportunity to secure one of the six finalist places, which will progress to the presentation stage (full competition information can be found in the ‘Eco Warriors Competition Outline 2026’ document in the download pack).
