School Funding Unit

The School Funding Unit seeks to distribute funding, operate financial arrangements and provide generic financial advice to schools and other providers.
Its main objectives are to:

• develop and implement the arrangements for funding schools including the Scheme for Financing Schools and delegated funding formulae.
• provide financial support to schools including setting budgets and monitoring expenditure with an enhanced role to support and challenge
• it's main clients are Hertfordshire schools including, in particular, headteachers, governors and bursars/finance officers.
• it also supports private and voluntary providers of nursery education, County Councillors and partnership groups.
