Hertfordshire Family Centre Service

Last updated on 16 May 2022

What does Hertfordshire’s Family Centre Service offer?

Hertfordshire’s Family Centre Service brings together the family support service, health visiting and school nursing to provide a joined-up service for children, young people and their families, from pregnancy through to when a child reaches 19. Family Centres offer a range of activities and services to help children grow and develop.

You, or the families you work with, can sign up at a local family centre for a number of benefits:

  • children and families can have fun, meet new people and learn together through activities
  • find help and support on hand where the family centre will endeavour to meet the needs of families
  • have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the family centre and help shape the services on offer in Hertfordshire
