SFVS timetable

Each school is responsible for creating their own timetable to ensure that they meet the SFVS deadline of 31st March 2026; below is a suggested timetable for completion of the SFVS return.

Autumn 2025	Review the answers of last year’s SFVS return and confirm that all improvement actions have been implemented
February 2026	Governors to discuss the first draft of the SFVS
March 2026	confirm that all relevant information has been included in the return governors to review and approve the SFVS return, confirming that controls have been in place from the period of your last return to the date of your 2025-26 submission print SFVS return and request the signature of the Chair of Governors
31st March 2026	Final deadline for submitting the SFVS return to sias@hertfordshire.gov.uk
April 2026	SIAS will collate the result of the returns to inform the annual return to ESFA and the information will also be used to support the SFVS themed audits and future audit planning.
May 2026	SIAS and HCC's Section 151 Officer report on the completed SFVS forms to ESFA.
