3-day subject and curriculum knowledge package for ECTs

HFL Education offers a CPD package specifically designed to complement the statutory requirements for ECTs (such as registering with an Appropriate Body and accessing the national ECF programme), the package is open to all ECTs and is not restricted to ECTs registered with a particular Appropriate Body or ECF provider.*

Recognising that some ECF programmes do not offer significant subject and curriculum content, this 3-day package will support the transition from ITT to ECT - developing teachers’ subject and curriculum knowledge and covering all core and many foundation subjects.

• Face-to-face training developing curriculum understanding and pedagogy.
• Expert-led, high-quality practical CPD, focused on the primary curriculum and the Key Stage in which the teacher is based,
• Ideal for ECTs in their first year but would also be beneficial to: ECTs in their 2nd year who have not completed this CPD, those changing age phase, who are oversees trained or returning to teaching.
• For delegates who join at a point after the first day has taken place, provision will be made for them to access the full package.

*Schools will still need to have registered their ECTs with an Appropriate Body and ensured that they have access to recognised ECF training. This CPD package complements but cannot be used to replace either of these elements.
