Target Audience: All staff and adults working with children in the
school community (includes amongst others, volunteers, learning support assistants, midday supervisory assistants, administration staff, caretaker
Prerequisite training: N/A
Time: Varies with numbers attending, approx 2 hrs
Venue: At your school
Date/s: By agreement with your CPSLO
Aims: A clear understanding of
- gain understanding of what is meant by safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
- enable school staff to recognise and respond appropriately to concerns about a child
- raise awareness of the role of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- consider safe working practice for school staff
