Shammi Rahman, RE Specialist Adviser, Hertfordshire SACRE
Shammi has over two decades of teaching RE. She is a former member of the Advisory Board for the Children’s Commissioner for England, is currently a member of the expert advisory group for RE at Oak National Academy and sits on the Subject Consultative Forum for OCR RE and History.
Previously an education consultant for Milton Keynes Council, she now works for HFL Education as an Equality and Diversity Adviser as well as being the SACRE RE Adviser. Shammi also runs her own consultancy business and is the contributor to RE Today articles and blogs as well as the recently published book: Succeeding as an RE Teacher written for ECTs and Trainee Teachers and Teachers of Religious Education
Shammi is able to work with schools to strengthen RE provision, meet statutory and Ofsted expectations, and ensure RE remains relevant and inspiring for all pupils.
