Recording and monitoring prejudice related incidents

The Equalities Act 2010 gives parity across all protected characteristics, so it is important that all prejudice related incidents (incidents with elements connected with the Protected Characteristics under the Act) are recorded and monitored, with summary data shared regularly with governors. Most schools now record this on electronic systems but for any school still using paper-based systems there is a Bullying Report and Monitoring Form below.

The following presentation may be helpful in training staff on prejudice related incidents.

Should headteachers, wider school staff or chairs of governors require guidance and/or support on equality and diversity issues, they can access HfL Wellbeing adviser support via the following email address: wellbeing@hfleducation.org.
