This rate also includes medical malpractice.
This covers any injury to a third party (e.g. pupils, visitors to the school), or damage to property belonging to a third party.

This covers the school for any medical treatments/administering medication (subject to training) that you may need to provide to pupils.
Please notify us as you may need to complete an insurer’s form.
In the past we recharged you separately for medical malpractice insurance this is now charged within liability.

This policy protects the school against any injury that a member of staff may suffer during their employment.
If you receive an employers liability claim, please send to the insurance team as soon as you receive it, by email to insurance@hertfordshire.gov.uk.

Excess: For each and every claim the school pays £500.
Recharge rate: 0.84 per square metre of area and £10.94 per pupil.
This policy covers property for fire, lightning, explosion, riot & civil commotion, damage by aircraft, malicious damage, earthquake, storm, escape of water (including sprinkler leakage), impact damage, theft (involving forcible and violent entry or exit), falling trees and accidental damage.
If you wish to make a claim, please telephone the insurance section immediately on 01992 555480 who will take the claim notification over the telephone.
We have the right to reject a claim should we not be notified within 30 days. If you are making a claim for malicious damage or theft you must inform the police and obtain a crime reference number.

Excess: For each and every claim the school pays £500.
Recharge rate:
- portable items- 0.25% of total value
- static items- 0.10% of total value
Computer insurance covers computer equipment against fire, lightning, explosion, riot & civil commotion, damage by aircraft, malicious damage, earthquake, storm, escape of water (including sprinkler leakage), impact damage, theft (involving forcible and violent entry or exit), falling trees and accidental damage.

This rate is applicable to vehicles regardless of type and will therefore be relevant to any mini buses you have.
This policy covers school owned vehicles for accidental damage, fire, theft, windscreens and third party.

Provider name: HSB Engineering
Recharge rate: The cost will vary and will depend on item specifications, the cost will only be known after the first inspection has been completed. Engineering insurance rates are also dependent on increases to the Average Weekly Earnings (AWE).
Engineering is a statutory requirement which you can opt into and have organised through ourselves.If you organise engineering yourselves, you need to ensure that inspections and services on the equipment are completed every 6 or 12 months depending on the specification of the equipment.
