Hertfordshire Schools Sustainability Network Forum

The Hertfordshire Schools Sustainability Network Forum is open to all staff working in an education setting. Its purpose is to build advocacy, enable discussions and inspire the sharing of tools and best practice in sustainability across schools and FE colleges in Hertfordshire.

The Forum also reflects the DfE Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy that set a goal for all education settings to have a Sustainability Lead owning a climate action plan (to include curricular and extra-curricular activity, procurement, adaptation and decarbonisation plans) by 2025.

Schools can nominate anyone as their Sustainability Lead - no prior knowledge is necessary, but a commitment to and passion for the environment and sustainability will be helpful.

Frequency: 2 times per school term (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday on rotation)
Duration: 1 hour (3.30pm - 4.30pm)
Location: Microsoft Teams
