Hertfordshire Young People's Survey

The Young People’s Health & Wellbeing Survey (YPHWS) gathers information from young people aged 11-19 in Hertfordshire to help identify their health behaviours and needs and provides useful insight into the sexual health of young people within the county.

The survey in a funded by Hertfordshire County Council's Public Health and Services for Young People teams. It is run by the Public Health Evidence & Intelligence Team. The survey provides an opportunity for partnership working between organisations providing services to young people around the county.

 Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA)

Hertfordshire's Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) looks at the specific health and social care needs of our local population and points out areas of inequality. It helps public bodies decide what type of local services to commission.

The JSNA contains a variety of needs assessments, each looking at a different issue. They are regularly updated to reflect the changing needs of the population.

Hertfordshire County Council Sexual Health Strategy

This strategy outlines HCC’s ambition to improve sexual health and wellbeing including the provision of sexual health services; encourage safe sex, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV; and prevent unwanted pregnancy and access to advice and support on sexual health matters.
