Leadership development: deputy and assistant headteachers

Leadership Bites Programme for aspiring, new and experienced assistant and deputy headteachers in infant, junior or primary settings.

The Leadership Bites Programme covers a wide variety of topics, including:

• Leading the quality of education, supporting the professional development of others and promoting an effective safeguarding culture
• Ensuring assessment is used effectively by all staff to improve pupil outcomes
• Understanding financial planning and management issues
• Harnessing leadership skills to build teams and manage change
• Working with governors and managing staff
• Exploring effective communication and strategic planning principles.
